Copy and Paste

In TE mode, the Cut, Copy and Paste functions can be carried out either by the Scene Contextual Menu, or by keyboard shortcuts. The menu is incited by right mouse click on the thumbnail of a selected scene (or a selection of mulyiple scenes). It contains 4 commands: Cut, Copy, Paste and Remove.

Cut
scene(s)

You can either use the Cut command in the contextual menu, or use the keyboard shortcut "Ctrl + X" on the selected scene(s) to cut the selection off the Timeline and into the memory. The 'cut' out timeline spot(s) will be "butted up" by the scene(s) that follow.

Copy scene(s)

Much like the "Cut" interface, the "Copy" function for both a single scene and a selection of multiple scenes can be achieved by using either the contextual menu's Copy command or the keyboard shortcut 'Ctrl' + 'C' on the selected scene(s).

Note: When a selected group of scenes is copied into memory, while the order of theses scenes is maintained the "inter-spaces" of these scenes are not. That is when a group of scenes is pasted (or inserted) into a new spot (or slot), while the order of scenes is the same as the selection, the in-between space(s) of the selection are removed.

Paste
scene(s)

To paste a single scene: you can either

a) select a frame where you want to paste your last copied scene to and use the Paste command from thecontextual menu to paste the scene, or

b) use the keyboard shortcut "Ctrl + V" to do the paste at the desired frame (by selecting the frame first).

To paste a selection of multiple scenes: you can either

a) select a frame where you want the first of your pasting scenes to begin and use the Paste command from the contextual menu of that frame to paste the selection, or

b) use the keyboard shortcut "Ctrl + V" to do the paste at the desired beginning frame (by selecting a frame/scene first).

Note: The pasted scene(s) will replace the existing scene(s). They will occupy and replace a timeline space equal to the length of the copied selection starting from the first of current selected frame.

Remove
scene(s)

To 'Remove' a selection of scene(s) you can either: a) drag-n-drop it outside of the Timeline strip, or b) use the 'Remove' command from the contextual menu.

Note:

1. 'Empty' scene(s) CAN be cut, copied and pasted just like 'occupied' scene(s) in the Timeline.

2. If you do not make a command selection from the contextual menu, you can simply click the space outside of the menu to have it closed.
